About UsCoach LockeCoach Locke has been involved with cheerleading for about twenty-five years. She cheered at Lakeview Junior High School, Downers Grove South, and at the University of St. Francis. She began her coaching career at her alma mater DGS before heading out to Yorkville High School to become the head coach. When she resigned from Yorkville from both teaching and coaching to stay at home with her children, it was only short lived before she went back to coaching at Joliet West High School. Coaching at TMS will be her first time coaching at the middle school level.
Besides coaching cheer, Coach Locke is a third grade teacher at Troy Craughwell Elementary School. She has been in education for eighteen years. Coach Locke is married to Mr. Locke, who is the athletic director at Joliet Central. She has four beautiful children: Rori (4th grade), Jackson & Quinn (1st grade), and Addison, who passed away from cancer in 2013. |
Coach Headrick
Coach Headrick has been involved in cheerleading for about 12 years. She started her career at the Elwood School District. She went on to L.J. Stevens Junior High School which was later renamed Wilmington Middle School. She then continued on to Wilmington High school where she cheered on the varsity level for 4 years. She was an All-American, All-State, and All-Academic athlete. She now is cheering for her second year on the collegiate level at Lewis University. This will be Coach Headrick's first time coaching at the middle school level.
Besides this, Coach Headrick also volunteers her time to the Wilmington High School Spiritline. This past year they went on to win the state championship in the small division. Coach Headrick is also a double major at Lewis University, (Criminal Justice and Psychology) and has been involved in a law enforcement program as a police explorer for the past three years.
